State Senate candidate Susan Chapman has been endorsed by the Connecticut State Police Union for her tireless support and commitment to law enforcement and public safety personnel.
"Our men and women in blue have taken an oath to protect and serve the people of this great state, and they deserve our continued support and respect," said Chapman. "The recently passed police accountability law by the state legislature does little to train or support our law
enforcement officers and does nothing to increase community policing efforts in our neighborhoods. It is unfortunate our current state senator supported this bill, which was passed in hasty fashion, in the middle of the night. Lawmakers should take up this bill and make wholesale changes for the benefit of all our citizens and public safety personnel in the upcoming special legislative session."
Chapman is running as both an Independent Party and Republican Party candidate for the 24th District seat in the State Senate. The district includes Bethel, Danbury, New Fairfield and Sherman.
