On May 17th, Arlene Sullivan collapsed at her daughter's home. As emergency responders were en-route, her granddaughter Kaitlyn began administering CPR that she had learned at the Bethel High School.
Units from the Bethel Police, Stony Hill Volunteer Fire Department and Bethel Fire and EMS responded and Ms. Sullivan was transported to the hospital. The family extends thanks to Chief John Baker, Captain Matt Gunter, EMS Captain Jim Mangi, Chuck Cywin, Justin Solipa, Rich Thode, Nuvance Health Paramedic Kyle Simonis, Bethel Fire Department EMT Ryan McNair, Bethel Police Department Officers Fekieta, Robinson, Freeman and Iadarola for their response.
Arlene was recently released from the hospital and her daughter Maureen says she is 110% and that the family is planning a camping trip, something they would almost certainly not be planning had Kaitlyn not stepped in.
