The Bethel Community Gazette

The Community Gazette reached out to every one of the more than 50 eateries in Bethel to determine what services they offer, hours and other information.

The list below reflects the results of those interviews for all establishments we were able to reach.

Some are offering specials and special offerings. For example, Centrico in Stony Hill is offering a Margareta take out kit including a bottle of tequilla and lime. Some are offering discounts for take out versus full price for delivery. Be sure to call ahead as many of the restaurants we spoke with said they are trying to adjust to an ever changing situation and hours and offerings may change.

We also want to mention three eateries that have shut down temporarily during the COVID-19 crisis. Sprouts at 4 Elizabeth Street downtown, The Meeting House on Route 6 in Stony Hill and Varanos on Greenwood Avenue in Downtown Bethel. In Varano's case, they will review the situation each week and will reopen as soon as possible. It should also be noted ECCO Rooftop has delayed there opening and customers can get take out from La Zingara, and Note customers need to get take out and curbside service from their sister establishment at Notch 8, the new restaurant that recently opened in the space vacated by Proof.

All of these eateries are doing their best to meet the needs of their customers, and need the community's support and patience.
