We've had an exciting summer at the Bethel Public Library. We heard lots of stories, both for children
and adults. We had concerts for all ages. There were even animals in the library! Animal Embassy
brought some of their educational assistants to visit our patrons, and we read to therapy dogs to
practice reading out loud. We made lots of fantastic crafts, watched some great new releases, and
learned some new computer skills in our Technology Center.
But summer isn't over yet, and neither is our Summer Reading Challenge! It's not too late to participate:
go to www.bethellibrary.beanstack.org/reader/365, visit our website, or stop by the library to register
and start earning prizes for reading. This year, adults can participate too: reading just one book enters
you into a weekly raffle for a gift card to a local Bethel business. The more you read, the more entries
you get! If you've been reading all summer long and are only just learning about our challenge, or have
been on vacation and left the internet behind, you can still go back and log your reading.
Remember, reading isn't the only way to win: attend a program at the library or visit us at Food Truck
Friday (August 16) or the Farmer's Market (August 17) to earn more prizes and unlock badges! Earn 5
badges to earn a completion prize for rising to our challenge (redeemable after August 30).
